Matrix Switching

GGR provide a range of network management tools which give physical level access in the wide area network.

Physical level access products are used to provide a common vendor independent connection or demarcation point in the network. It is at this point where passive monitoring, passive or active testing, and reconfiguration is often necessary for the purpose of performing fault detection, fault diagnosis and restoral to service.

These products can include a switching capability for reconfiguration management and fall into three basic categories:

Manual Patching and Switching

Manual patching and switching products are normally found at local sites and provide manual access to data circuits in the wide area network to allow fault detection, monitoring and reconfigurations.

PC Controlled 'Smart' Patching and Switching

PC controlled patching and switching also provides automatic fault detection, monitoring and reconfiguration capabilities and extends its functionality to include control from a PC in a help desk environment of both local and remote communications facilities.

Matrix Switching

The Matrix Switch provides all of the functionality of Manual and PC controlled patching, including a completely unblocked any-to-any switching capability, while also giving Interface Conversion, Modem Elimination, unlimited Test and Monitor, and 16:1 Circuit Concentration on fibre or copper, as but a few of its outstanding features
