The International Rugby Sevens series is up and running with the Dubai Sevens completed at the weekend.
We recently announced that GGR are sponsoring Saracens’ and England Sevens’ star Kevin Barrett. This proved to be an inspired move as Kevin has been named captain of the England Sevens team. All that was needed was for the team to deliver a big performance and they did not disappoint.
Ultimately however, they lost to Samoa in the semi-finals. Samoa, who went on to lose to New Zealand in the final, is one of the most powerful teams in the world and England only just lost out to them. This was a great performance at the start of the Sevens season and bodes well for the rest of the season.
