Anglian Group utilise technology throughout their systems from manufacturing to call centre operations, and networking systems which are key to Anglian. Without a network manufacturing is stopped, and without tracking and dispatch wireless handsets the product doesn’t move through the factories or the regional warehouses as it should.
GGR are an outsourced provider of networking services and products to Anglian. We provide, manage and support the LAN infrastructure throughout the distributed campus LAN in Norwich. We also manage and support the firewalls and security devices as well as token based access via a number of methods including VPN through to dial access.
In addition to the LAN in Norwich GGR also provide, manage and support the whole of the Anglian Wide Area Network. This includes redundant connections to all the regional offices, telemarketing and sales offices throughout the UK.
Recently Surveyors and other key staff have been provided with home network access using secure VPN router roll out. GGR manage this whole DSL based network for over 100 remote users. For all of the networking functions GGR provide a total solution service including line provisioning, maintenance and support. This includes running a special 0800 number for home users to call to assist them in connecting their equipment and setting up their connection.
Anglian have a large wireless infrastructure that extends from Head Office into regional and sales offices right through to home workers own homes. The wireless infrastructure is key to Anglian and is used for:
• Complementing wired network access for laptop users
• Manufacturing Tracking and Dispatch systems
• Voice over IP
• Visitor Network Wireless Access
Security is a big concern and Anglian implement full security for sensitive data throughout the wireless networks and separate manufacturing tracking and dispatch handsets by using VLANS and firewalls, this will ensure that any compromise of weaker security typically supported by handsets does not impact on the rest of the network.
GGR provide full monitoring and service support from telephone support through to 24x7x365 on various parts of the network to meet the SLA requirements of Anglian Windows.
