GGR Communications Limited is a specialised Information Technology company operating in specific areas of the Data Communications market.

GGR Communications was founded in 1994 by a group of individuals coming from a variety of backgrounds within the communications arena. They brought with them experience from such companies as GEC-Marconi, British Telecom, Motorola and Dynatech. They shared a vision that with more companies deciding to concentrate on the LAN/IP sector that there was a gap in the market place.There was a need to support those companies with a large investment in their existing technologies, such as Packet Switching, who needed to migrate their systems to the current and future technologies. These companies needed the engineering knowledge to migrate and install new systems.

GGR started initially by providing sales and support of equipment in the legacy market, and by designing and supplying LAN/WAN systems to the SME's in the travel and financial sectors.

The company had strengthened its technical base early in its history, by recruiting and building a team of engineers with an extended experience in current technology, which complimented the skills of the founders.

In the course of the first two years the company recognised that is was its technical ability and the founders commitment to engineering support that was becoming a differentiating factor and setting it apart from the 'Box Shifters'. More and more IT managers were availing themselves of the consultancy aspect of the business.

Alliances were set in place with many recognised IT equipment vendors, but the added value came from designing and installing the networks and configuration for the equipment being sold.

GGR Communications has further recognised a need in the area of Cable Management. Starting with some structured cabling work for Area Health Authorities and industrial companies, there is a growing niche in the High Speed Matrix Switching and Cable Management sector, especially in mission critical environments such as Defence and Banking.

GGR Communications has offices located in Worcester, Harlow and Rochdale giving it good coverage of the UK. In addition through alliances with companies located in Europe and the USA we are able to install and commission European and Global networks.
